Cloud saving is on by default. All these tips are things you should know within five minutes of turning it on.

I like how they changed the performance settings. Before it was straight down which was kind of annoying but now it’s straight across which doesn’t get in the way whatsoever

Performance overlay was an awesome tip. Thank you.

The fact that steam even thinks about how it's users are used to Nintendo controls and addresses that fact is what is gonna make the steam deck overrun the switch, soon after a few years the deck would be the standard and people will only play the switch if they want to play the Nintendo exclusive multi-player games(since offline Nintendo games can be emulated on the deck)

You can use the decky CSS plugin to make it look like a switch

I played the wii u alot and hated the switch layout. So the steam deck is a welcome change.

I finally plugged my Steam Deck into a Docking Station and was using it on a 32' Monitor like a PC. I plugged in the usb doggle for my Wireless keyboard and mouse and was trying out the Desktop mode. Installed Goggle Chrome and it really is amazing being able to use like a PC. Then I played some Age of Empire 2 and it felt like a blast from the past. I ❤ My Steam Deck.sitting next to my Nintendo Switch OLED 😉👌

Any new Steam Deck owner usually has some know-how when it comes to these things. They'll either have known these features exist or will tamper and find them pretty quick.

Really cool stuff, thanks for sharing this with us! I would highly recommend learning about the "Golden 40" that leverages the 40Hz capabilities of the Deck's display. Inevitably, you'll often end up worrying if a recent release can run at 60FPS on there. The Golden 40 would massively help here: Due to the fact you can lower the panel's refresh rate to 40Hz through the Quick Action Menu, you are able to go for 40FPS instead of 30. Why you may ask? Despite a 10FPS additional payload to the Deck's graphics APU, 40 FPS is right in the middle between 30 and 60 FPS in terms of frame pacing - meaning a nearly-60 FPS experience. Try it out! If you want to see this in action, feel free to give an older video of mine a shot, where I tried to explain this comprehensively. Cheers!
