This opens for me an entire world of configuring your own home server infrastructure! So important nowadays! Great video, thanks for sharing!

That folder name is, uh, suspicious? I know it's because you have a partition for the kids and another for the adults, but sheesh, /home/adults/movies/ sounds like the videos must be spicy

as someone who uses the same transmission docker image, i highly recommend using the "Flood" theme, which can be added as an environment variable using

Bit late to the game but I highly recommend Fenrus as a Heimdal replacement. it's focused on speed while being much more customisable (Looks wise and different dashs between each user plus guest), and it has a Heimdal inspired theme that gives you similar looking links but separated by category

You may have leaked your OPENVPN_USERNAME and OPENVPN_PASWORD at around 7:39.

I've been having the same kind of services (Plex, Transmission, Nextcloud, Adguard Home, Proxy, Shadowsocks, Vpn, Music Streaming, Remote Desktop (No Machine), Wake on lan (for other machines, Url Shortener script) etc) for years now and i couldn't live without them now. I wanted to tell you that recently i've been building the same kind of server with those services with the Oracle free tier and it works really well (max 4 ocpu and 24gb of ram)

Nice setup! Re: Mounting media. Any reason not to mount it NFS? Then use bg, soft, intr flags in fstab? So it will boot up when the NAS is down? I'm just starting to do more with docker, proxmox, LXC, etc.. It's quite interesting. Thanks for the video!

Do you have videos of how you installed these services? Great video by the way! Subbed!

Do you have a way to monitor security on your server? Check to see which process is doing what to which other server and check for intrusion with good network data? I am very interested in your idea.

A Heimdall alternative with a bit more customization is Organizr, but it's also a bit more complicated.

I used to run Pi-Hole as a container on my Unraid box but decided to move it to two dedicated Pi's that I had laying around. Now when I need to make modifications to Unraid which require restarts, it won't take down DNS for the house.

@6:00 Using the *noauto* or *nofail* mount options in fstab to allow booting when a network resource is unavailable.

Have you got a video Portainer vs Jellyfin vs Rancher etc? Or whats the reason you chose Jellyfin over the rest?

Awesome! Question, how can that many movies only be on a 128gb harddrive?
