That Nigerian lady stole my heart 😂 “I don’t think anyone in their right senses would eat a hundred apples”

Getting her to say that apples aren’t food, and then telling the next group that some people think apples aren’t food, devoid of any context, was gold

"In England, anything is possible" such an elegant roast lol

It takes talent to show separate groups of people disagreeing and talking off each others points without making them the butt of the joke and look stupid. Instead it's just nice hearty laughs at nobody personally. Great job!

This is hilarious. I'm from Kenya and recently went to the UK for my dad's graduation. They announced there would be a reception with food after. Imagine our shock when we went and found SANDWICHES 🤣

As a brit this really highlighted to me what different groups think when someone says "party". For most, assumedly white young people in the UK, a party/house-party is usually just an excuse to get leathered with your mates and maybe go out to afterwards. Especially when you're an impoverished student you aren't going to be serving up plates of food for 30+ people who just want to get blackout drunk. It's not a proper social gathering like I think a lot of people would otherwise assume.

If you were to ask any of these people if they'd serve food at a dinner party/bbq/family gathering/movie night, or ask anyone over the age of about 30 maybe, and they would probably answer very differently.

What a funny, interesting topic. Great video - love how positive everyone was.

Respect for Nigerians. Just like us italians, they understood that a party IS food! Who needs hula hoops when you can get 2 pies for dessert? Or one of those local sweets and pastries like sicily and cannoli?

thank you so much for doing this. i know this isn't a super serious video, but it's struck a weird chord with me. i think this is one of the first times i've seen race in the uk explored in such a casual, (mostly) friendly way? it's really, really refreshing.

Malaysian here, working in australia. I never go to any work parties anymore because all they do is stand, have some drinks and try to talk over loud music. As a malaysian, a party is when you have good food in a homely environment and really have fun n connect with people.

The aggression in the guy, “if there’s no food, prepare something.” 😂

My wife got invited to a regular social night where like 20 people just sat in a circle drinking tea, eating biscuits, taking turns to speak. All evening. The others there thought it was great, she felt like she was at a support group or something. It was the most English thing I'd ever heard of.

Edit - thanks all the big brains pointing out that English parties aren't typically like this, where would we be without you

I think when they say apples & chips arent food they mean theyre not a meal. A meal you prepare & its to fully satiate your hunger... while an apple... you aint getting full on an apple. Thats like, a snack or a treat

The simple and elegant flow of the “absolutely not” into “yes absolutely” is just icing on the cake to this video

"Were they the two black guys in your school, Charles and Lucas" 😭One of the funniest guys in the UK right now. I'll admit as a fan of dance music, Techno is for crackheads 🤣

As a black American woman I’ve thrown parties since I was 14 and every single party we cook meals, hot food, meats, main course, and sides. Lol 😂 also we making jungle juice, Hennessy, Incredible Hulk (hypnotic and Hennessy), modelos, tequila shots, long islands.

Also the perception of Americans is absolutely hilarious, especially African Americans 😂😂 like y’all need to come to one of our parties and get lit and fed 😂❤
