Unripe jackfruit has a meaty texture, whereas, ripe Jackfruit doesn't. Ripe Jackfruit tastes nothing like pork. The one Nick used is a ripe Jackfruit. If anyone wants to make this, i would recommend them to use unripe jackfruit.


In India & in its neighbouring countries, people make curry using unripe jackfruit & eat the ripe ones as fruit.
