Fun fact about the Diptyque amenity kit Qatar gave you. It is a fig fruit fragrance and is used by Ritz Carlton hotels as well if you stay with them. My understanding is that the fig is used to calm the mind whether for travel or a good night sleep.

I was lucky enough to be upgraded once from business to first on A380 Qatar from DOH to BKK. Of course the whole experience was mindblowing, but one thing I remember is that I didn't find the seat comfortable enough to sleep. When flat there was a weird bulge in the lower back... not that I wanted to sleep anyway. of course I stayed awake to enjoy as much food and champagne as possible 😂
