About the story of Oscar the cat, he was found after the Bismarck sank. He was taken aboard the British destroyer HMS Cossack where he stayed until the ship was torpedoed by a U-boat. Oscar was again rescue and was adopted by another ship the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal. Not too long however the carrier was hit by another U-boat.
At this point, the sailors decided that Oscar should retire at the seaman's home in Belfast which he lived for the rest of his days passing away in 1955.

One poster was like, women are going to lose all their rights because they believed these ideas were a modern invention. I kindly pointed out the Iroquois Confederation, and the city-state of Sparta as examples of societies in which women played a vital role outside of homemaking. The Iroquois women held a lot of political power like the ability to impeach a chief and Spartan women had been trained to defend the city while the men were at War.
