Overcrowding in South African prisons

Correctional Services authorities have conceded that overcrowding in South African prisons means that some of the basic services for inmates cannot be guaranteed. Figures presented to Parliament have revealed that there are over 144 000 prisoners currently incarcerated in the country's prisons.

What about clearance of their criminal record to avoid them not comedy a crime again between population outside because they won't get the Job then how they going to support their family and their self interms of the poverty outside Jail?
