Red Bull will officially decide its 2025 F1 driver line-ups after the season finale in Abu Dhabi but its plan has already become clear.

With just one race left in 2024, team boss Christian Horner has admitted to us that Red Bull will weigh up its options after Abu Dhabi and still needs to understand "what the path is" with Sergio Perez.

That doesn't sound like a driver who is nailed on to keep his seat (as Perez has insisted), because he isn't.

Checo, you may have been trash recently, but we will never forget your time in the midfield racking up podiums and eventually a long awaited win in 2020.

Yuki not being able to provide the best feedback for Red Bull is moot considering that Horner admitted they never listened to Checo's feedback to begin with.

Yuki has earned one year in the top seat just to show his capabilities.

Biggest fuck up was not getting Sainz. Absolutely criminal he's going to Williams after his performances at Ferrari.

Lawson has talent, but considering him over Yuki is a slap in the face. I don’t understand why or how RB justifies treating certain drivers this way as the criteria seems to be arbitrary or whoever can pay more. And that’s not conducive to being competitive at the front.

Unfortunately for Tsunoda, he seems to have just become Red Bull's benchmark for future drivers. They know the level he's at so they can evaluate others next to him and decide what to do with them. They won't move him up because they have a use for him at VCARB

A bit sad for Yuki if they put Lawson in the Red Bull instead of him. Not a vote of confidence.

It would be sad for Yuki if Lawson was chosen over him for the Red Bull. This is not a vote of confidence.

The fact that Tsunoda throws tantrums on the radio is a really bad excuse. Max used to do it on a regular basis, Alonso is freaking famous for it, Kimi did his part, etc, etc. RBR is holding at every straw.
Just tells us that he doesn't bring enough money and that there's little exposure for the Japanese market.

Put Yuki in that god damn seat then replace him mid season with Lawson if he does not perform

lol Lawson as mentally tough? Bro gets hung up and angry at Nando and Checo everytime he sees a green car or a Red Bull on track

Liam Lawson hasn't proved anything, Should be last in line for the seat.

What a shame Sainz couldn't join RB. Instead, RB are wasting their 2nd seat and Sainz's career will peter out as a back marker.

they should put yuki in the rb seat. there's nothing to lose and everything to gain. worst case scenario, he underperforms and leaves, and since he's tied to honda that was already likely. best case scenario he proves to be competent in the senior team and can be kept at least in the short term

So the classic complaint about Yuki is that he's too hotheaded.

What's the complaint now that Lawson's on the grid and showing that he's *more* easily tilted than Yuki is?

I don’t think Liam is a bad driver by any means but Red Bull have learned nothing with Gasly and Albon and he is being set up to fail

Title is misleading. I thought Perez was officially out :(

You guys are off the mark with your transfer news. Colapinto to RB was never going to happen, and you’re ruling out a move for Yuki into RB because he’s hot headed and gives poor technical feedback? How about the alternative? Lawson has barely any experience, has repeatedly shown he will race hard at the cost of his race and develop rivalries in the mid field. He has been outqualified and outraced by Yuki recently. Yuki deserves a shot at that seat, and I think RB will give it to him with Lawson ready to step in if it doesn’t go smoothly

If red bull choose Lawson instead of Tsunoda, it will be extremely embarrassing

Yuki will get a chance to drive the Red Bull, but only because Honda asked to let him test. That's more a favor for Honda than genuine interest for Yuki, but it gives him a chance to impress. But if speed isn't the worry, then not sure if Yuki can do anything to sway them to take him.
