Going for the mate 20. Having used the Samsung S8 for almost two years now i have found the curved screen annoying and i need a jack 😅

Honestly, Mate 20 with bigger screen looks better than Mate 20 Pro and that's one of the strong reason why I bought Mate 20. Guess what? It's awesome! Name any major features that you need/expect from a smartphone and you will have it.
Agreed that:
1- it has weaker camera lenses but it's better than many flagship phones and takes amazing photos
2- doesn't have inbuilt fingerprint scanner but is it really important
3- it ain't ip68 (or whatever you call it) but would you not be careful with your phone anyways?

Also, it will save around 250 euros in your pocket. So why not Mate 20! Lol
I have one and it's good.

Huge battery, although lcd screen but you can't tell the graphic difference when you play graphic intensive games like PUBG on HDR. Yes on HDR. I am able to play on high setting without any problems for more than 5 hours on a stretch. Battery is awesome. I recommend Mate 20!

Sensor size on Mate 20 pro is bigger than the Mate 20 which is very important for photography (1/1.7" > 1/2.3" ). Pro has the same sensor size as Canon Powershot G9.

You forgot a big feature, you can turn the pro into a notebook if you connect a monitor to it. And it works really good

Curved glass is more disadvantage than advantage.
If 20 would have 2k amoled, it would be better than pro

The problem I have with curved screens is the when I put a case on phone it pushes off the screen protector
