Thing is people don’t think about the fact that kid has complete mastery over his devil fruit powers which means he has peak in terms of ability however if he had learned how to use haki he would’ve been able to overcome that wall and at the very least stood as an equal to law but because of his arrogance and lack of self reflection he fell
