15 MOST DISAPPOINTING Games of 2021

Expectation and hype can be dangerous things, because as often as we get games that make good on all of their promises, the reality is that games that do the exact opposite aren't nearly as rare as we'd want them to be.

2021, sadly, had quite a few games that failed to live up to lofty promises, and here, we're going to talk about a few of those, before picking one that disappointed us more than all the others.

I was disappointed by biomutant at first and I definitely think it should've released at a lower price, but after giving it another chance recently and beating it, I actually enjoyed the game very much for what it was once I embraced its mechanics

It may be dissapointing for some people, but I found "Biomutant" quite entertaining, probably because I didn´t had that much hype prior to it´s release and waited for a sale to give it a try...

Too bad that didn´t fullfiled everyone´s expectations.

Biomutant definitely had potential to be a lot better, but I played the heck out of it. I loved the world, the designs and exploring areas. I got my money's worth for sure. It had a charm that a lot of bigger, more polished games lack.

I'd probably put: New World, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance,
King's Bounty II and eFootball 2022 on this list.

BF2042 Disappointment is the worst amongst all. It had me jump into BF5 instead, a game i swore i’d never touch due to its horrible launch, yet here i am having a blast of fun. Sadly nowadays games are released with horrible state and then get fixed over the years however it’d be too late by then. BF2042 is the greatest scam of 2021

Sable is one of my GOTY contenders, so I totally disagree on that one. I recommend at least trying it if you have Game Pass. Loved it myself.

I think the biggest trap people fall into is expecting more from a game than it can deliver. I really liked Biomutant. It was a quirky and fun 7/10 game that did the things it did pretty well. Judging it based on 'what it could or should have been' is doing it a disservice and not a fair assessment of what it actually IS. Hardly perfect, but there is a lot to love.

Call of Duty and Battlefield are really great cases of greed. Instead of building upon a good foundation, adding new stuff... the actually remove features. In what world does that makes sense?! Perhaps, it's time for EA and Activition to let these franchise rest for a while.

Biomutant, ninja Gaiden master collection, legend of Zelda Skyward sword, the medium, Baldo the guardian owls, GTA the trilogy definitive edition, Sherlock Holmes chapter one and cod vanguard were awesome games and no way near disappointing only sooks complain about these games

We've almost made a whole month without GamingBolt picking on Biomutant by sticking it in the thumbnail-a new record, :p As I've said before, it's a decent "zen game" open-world. There's loads of RPG mechanics that are tossed in in that endearing eurojank way, and the loot/crafting game is excellent.

Ninja Gaiden and both No More Heroes' Steam ports upset me, since they all don't include M&K support. Neither did "El Shaddai", but that dev has actually responded to fan feedback and is patching it in. Neither Marvellous nor Koei Tecmo are doing anything with their releases though.
