The medium of gaming, much like any other, has equal parts games that are great and others not so great. That being said, there have been many games over the years that have garnered huge hype and expectations but failed to deliver on what was promised.

To that effect, here are 15 of the most disappointing games from the last 15 years

Well, Cyberpunk 2077 wasn't here but it not only was disappointing, it also brought newfound appreciation to DEUS EX Mankind Divided.

Lost Planet 2 was tremendously enjoyable, a huge step up from the first game. Although the same can’t be said about Loast Planet 3😕

I really liked Thief. The horror grim elements were great...

I'm probably in the very small minority that liked Thief and I've played all the Thief games to completion. Same with The Order 1886. As short as it is, I enjoyed my time with it. I thought the world it created has a lot of potential.

1.) Cyberpunk 2077 (Everything)
2.) Death Stranding (PS4/PC)
3.) Shinobi (3DS)
4.) Shenmue 3 (PS4/PC)
5.) Sea of Thieves (XBox One/PC)

Mafia 3 was fun and the story was good but quite repetitive and had its bugs

I remember when I bought Cyberpunk 2077 and immediately felt dissapointed. Compare any of the gameplay mechanics with past games and the flaws stood out like a giant dildo.

Platinumed Thief on both PS3 and PS4 and loved every second. The biggest criticism you could direct to it is the city map was convoluted without a fast travel option, but I disagree it didn’t capture the atmosphere of the original.
