My mother use to sing this to us while we traveled along to visit my Grandmother. I memorized it to sing to my kiddos...and now my Grandkiddos. I was born in Germany because my Father was stationed there so this song was always special to me.

I grew up listening to my dad playing this over and over one of my favorites I was 4 at the time heard him playing this well into my 30s he passed away in 1989 and everytime I hear this I think of my dad <3

I always remember my grandfather, when I am listening to this song cause' it's his favorite. He used to sing to me this lovely song when I was a child. He died last November 3, 2022 at 86 and I requested the band to play the song in his burial. I really miss my grandpa 😭😭😭

I served in Germany 1963~66 in the 14th A/C. I was in the 2nd Squadron Bad Kissingen, Germany. We played tag with Soviets on the boarder in at that time Occupied Germany. The Fraulein song was popular in all the Clubs on post, . We all sang it.
