Not only was Buck a great singer, he had the expressions down. If it was a happy song, he was lit up like a light bulb. If it was a sad one, like this, he looked like his heart was in the middle of breaking.

Doesn't get any better than this. Buck as always is a great deliverer of a song. Love Don on the fiddle and his harmonies. RIP Dangerous.❤🌷🙏 RIP Buck. 🤠🙏🎸

Great song. Ole Buck looking back and admiring his friend, Don Rich playing fiddle at the beginning of the song.

I have a German friend who met an American lady officer. They got married and moved to the USA. He calls himself "a male war bride."

Beautiful performance!!!! Pure Country Gold!!!! Buck Owens and his Buckaroos at their very Best, like always. I wonder if this was an early episode of Hee Haw or another Country Music Show. I'm guessing this is 1969 or 1970.

Wow! Didn't know Buck covered this classic...he more than does it justice, he sounds like he means it!

Only Bobby Helms did this song better than Buck here with Don. Buck playing his red white & blue Chicago made Harmony acoustic is always a welcome sight. I think it gave him a mellower sound than the electrified Fenders, better for a sentimental song like ‘Fraulein’. Thanks so much for this post.

Saw Buck at the County Fair in 1973. Took a pretty fraulein as my date.

Go, Buck, You now have the GI songbook, with Made in Japan and Fraulein. I am honored to have served in both and listen to Buck and many others.

Reminds me of my Fraulein in Berlin. Our plans were derailed by a medical emergency at home so another GI stole her while I was gone. I certainly hope she had a wonderful life.

As with the hit recording, I wish they'd have played the whole verse instrumentally instead of cutting it short. Buck had the most wonderful pitch perfect high tenor voice!

Back When there were jukeboxes this song was on every jukebox in every Texas Honky Tonk. I have two stepped to this song on many occasions. One myth I must dispel. Not every Texan loves country music but in my generation, every Texan could dance. Line dancing (except for the Cotton-Eyed Joe) does not count.
