Not bad, ill admit being able to replace parts with aftermarket solutions is really a huge bonus. That wire hack is really disappointing from a 3D printer over 500 bucks though

If that string helps it would probably be pretty easy to replace it with a printed part. Hopefully in your testing it continues to help! That combined with taking the bowden tube out of the drag chain hopefully will fix a lot of issues!

Awesome stuff. I was concerned with clogging problem but if it’s solved by securing the feed bypass selector, then not a big deal. Hopefully Creality gives out a free fix to anyone with the problem.

the lid on the K1 is not meant to be left on when printing some filament types, PLA is one of them.

seems like it could be modded with a spring. strong enough to hold the lever back, but still be able to operate the lever without messing with a wire

Hey @NathanBuildsRobots So for Christmas i got the High speed nozzle kit for the k1 and two things: 1. 😅snot different from the one already installed? 2. Does it allow me to print faster

im fairly new. my current printer is an ender 2 pro ( please no h8) but i want something else. would this be a better printer than say a mk4 or an elegoo Neptune?
i welcome any opinions, its just i kinda wanna hear from the hearts and minds rather than slog through websites designed to highlight and sell you their products. tyia

i got the printer 3 days ago, first 3 prints great not ever print stops at the 1st or 2nd layer and gets clogged. any ideas? possibly heat creep but nothing i try helps

What type of after market nozzles fit the k1 I would like to have them in case since they are out of stock online

One little detail like this can ruin a product, or a product launch. It's early for the K1 and this is a pre-release product review. Hopefully Creality fixes these little issues soon, rather than waiting for the community to fix the problems later. The K1 gets a lot right and at a good price. I like most of their design decisions. I'm rooting for them.

Do you mean that the filament slipping and the clicking problem is because of the locking lever is loosing its grip?! That's very interesting. I have the same issue on a ender 3 v3 (same head). Today, I noticed the gear (that hold the tiny bearing) under the lever has like .5mm lose play and back and forth wobble. Shouldn't that gear be tight?

Do you think all these issues will be fixed for the “production” version? Seems like a great machine overall, but these little issues that keep getting brought up are keeping me from pulling trigger on one.

Don't know about the K1 but thw P1P and X1 both have issues where it moves so fast that it cannot extrude and melt fast enough, that is why the hot end is so large, I think the K1 also suffers from this. I believe Bambu patched it out in software to slow down external walls just a touch so this does not occur, I wonder if Creality will follow suit if this is the same problem.

Ahhh that's a nice find on the under extrusion.

Would you say that this was more likely the issue than the bowden being routed via cable chain?

Oh my God ok. Actually at the moment that lever is entirely stuck so I am more lost than i was before j got the replacement extruder.
