You're so right. It's only recently that I've realized what my digital drawings lack... It's story telling. I only draw pretty pictures, which in all honesty, are average at best (if I am to compare my level to the one's of professionals/very talented people). So that's why I decided to at least try to tell a story with my drawings and in my free time to try to work on the things that I'm not very good at. I'm glad you made this video, it was of great help. :)

I’ve always felt like using references was bad. My friends told me it was bad, that I wasn’t being original if I was using or tracing references. Until I wanna watched this video did I realize that it’s okay to use references. My drawings are always a bit bland and I started using references and my art looks so much better and livelier than it did before!!!

Thank you man, sometimes I feel like there's no point and that I'll never be as good as the great artists I follow online. Thank you for reminding me of that powerful quote "What would you do if you couldn't fail?" I am going to start doing fan art studies of my favorite artists' work again.
