Barriss was right, even if she had the wrong way of proving her point. The Jedi did fall, long before their extinction. So blind that they couldn't see the Sith Lord hidden in plain sight, right in front of them. So arrogant that they joined a galaxy-wide conflict with an army created under *very* suspicious circumstances. So fearful that, when they discovered that their enemies created an army for them, they decided to cover it up. So militaristic that they cast out and demonized one of their own under what was circumstantial evidence at best. So traditional that they refused to accept that, maybe, Anakin was meant to be their evolution.

If anything, their destruction was their own fault and, perhaps, one of the best things to happen to the galaxy in the long run.
