Every human being experiences pain and suffering at some point in their lives. In my case, the suffering brought me closer to God and strengthened my faith. I truly believe that THIS is the reason for pain, suffering and evil in the world: to realize that we can't endure without HIM.

Hey I appreciate the analogy with pregnancy. I think that is a very powerful one. Seeing what my wife went through for pregnancy was astonishing especially for the birth. There is no other experience like that. It’s like who would want to go through that?? I can’t even imagine (much respect to all women!) but she’s pregnant again! Because she saw the beauty in how this brings life into our world and it brought her joy. Not from the temporary pain, but what was delivered after. Literally and figuratively. Appreciate you sir!

Just found your channel and am so finding it so helpful. When Dr. Craig came to Christ, my dad was pastor at the church he attended in Peoria, IL. I was a little girl at the time and remember my dad and others marveling at his intelligence and new-found passion for Christ.

I wasn’t an atheist but I became an agnostic from the teachings of the Catholic Church. People like yourself and Craig keep me grounded in my now forty-one years of being a true Christian. My mother committed suicide on july 7th 2023. She was burdened by ill health.loneliness and depression. I hope god is taking good care of her and the anguish in her soul be finally healed. Very tragic world we live in.

I really don't know what the folks smarter than I say about this topic. I've always thought of it this way, this life is the most microscopic part of our existence in all of eternity. So if to gain eternity with God I must suffer for a short time then so be it. Valley's build our relationship with him.

My suffering drives me to Him. Without it i would probably be arrogant & non caring. He uses suffering to soften us & drive us to the only Source in all of existence. And He is there to comfort, to teach, to reveal Himself. ✝️

This was also something I’ve struggled with for years, even though I was raised in the church. Even though my life has not been that easy, I’ve felt myself under incredible pressure, it almost makes you want to pull your hair out. Then I’ve realized that some of that pressure was self inflicted, mistakes I’ve made, bad mistakes. Thank God he’s always believed in me, also, I’ve realized that a little pressure, a little tribulation is good for you. Makes you strong amidst the pressures of life, makes you bold in front of problems you thought you couldn’t handle. Also makes you humble, there are some people out here who think everything’s about them and are total jerks to say the least. Some “trouble” or trepidation for those people could be in working order, so God humbled them through some pain. And some are just plain evil and God allows a lot of punishment to bring a good heart out of them. There is such a thing as purification by pain, and as much as we dread that word (pain) a little, I say again a little pain could beneficial to Al of us for those reasons I’ve mentioned, God knows all things, we think we know, and I’m struggling till this day to understand this, because I was on my way to finishing my book, and I thought I could’ve been something and have something of my own. Until God stopped me, he made me see that what I was writing would not be beneficial to others, even though I thought it was. After a while I realized it wasn’t, seeing all this stuff happening in the world, it would bring more harm than good, cause people now are looking to whatever they want and get away with it. The most atrocious things done so casually it makes nervous, people are just looking to mess up, and mess up big, I don’t want encourage anybody to do bad things so I stopped what I was doing, and now I see it was the right thing to do, and it makes me angry cause I spent years developing it, so I could share it with everybody, but now I see God was right. It is what it is!!!! 😢
