Sting launched in India on 2017 at a price of 30 Rs...in 2021 PepsiCo decrease the price of Sting to Rs 20. After that Sting start to grow and now it becomes market leader in energy drinks...nowadays Sting comes in 250 ml, 500 ml, can, and glasses....I am the employee of PepsiCo in Guwahati. Sting is ruling the market and it's also affected our other products sales . Shopkeeper now days ask for only Sting... charged is super flop

Comparison is not fair. Sting has caffeine but RedBull has Taurine. Taurine has important functions in the heart and brain. It helps support nerve growth.

I'm pretty sure the actual reason why sting is so popular in India is because the younger generation thinks it's cool/cooler to drink "a red colored (rare when it comes to drinks) drink which is also an energy drink (don't need it but still drink it :O cool!)".
And since people (the majority) are not consuming it for an energy boost (you know it's true), it means that the popularity of the drink has nothing to do with it's constituents (mentioned in the video) or any of the mentioned strategies and rather just the low pricing combined with luck that kids found it cool.

When Sting first launched in 2017, its price was 40 to 30 not 20. But 1 thing is that it has less sugar compared to redbull, but still, it tastes so sweet, which makes the taste worse after drinking a sip.

In vietnam there's a yellow variant of sting which tastes exactly like red bull and costs only Rs.30 (10.000 vietnamese dongs). I wish it was available on india too.

Once a time, when I started to consume 4 bottles a day. However, I tried Redbull and Monster too but those didnot gave that much Mental Rush. Another reason is that sting is more sugery while not having much suger.

Last few years i have been consuming a-lot of caffeine product from red bull, coffee, stings etc … I have stopped consuming caffeine after i got high bp, panic attack, depression, gaining weight etc. Now I have replaced them with healthy natural food like banana, spinach, beans go for a run everyday. I went from 70 kg to 51 kg in 1 year. No more depression, panic now. Please do not consume such products and coffee too

Whole video can be explained in one sentence. Sting is success because of less price and huge marketing. This is possible because Pepsi has the budget to do it.

I started drinking sting since when I was a kid.
Reason's I liked it:
It tasted good.
It had a vibrant red color.
It looked kinda like alcohol so I used to drink it infront of my elders to look cool.
Also it was just 20Rs. There was no other drink that tasted that sweet and good in that price range.
But now I stopped drinking it. I don't have the same taste for it which I had when I was a child.

One thing people tend to forget is that Red Bull's target audience is not that of Sting's. Anyone hinged to Red Bull will never ever switch to sting just because of pricing. Saw a comment that says the younger generation thinks of sting as "cool". Bro please Red Bull and Monster's public image is way beyond that of sting's

The reason behind popularity of sting in pakistan is pricing like monster cost 1000pkr and redbull cost 800 pkr but sting cost only 100pkr which makes it everyday drink.Mostly young generation consume it here and craze is insane.Some people drink 3to 4 bottles per day
