Video Transcript
Hey, Siri. How can you and Alexa make me more effective at work? We have no problem, asking Siri and Alexa, these digital voice assistance, all sorts of questions. But when we get into the office, something happens.
We have a question. It could be a very important question. Yet, we get a little afraid. Would become fearful. I don't want to look like I am ignorant. Just doesn't seem like it's a good time or maybe I'll just figure it out myself.
Do you ever do that? That's bad. I want you to think about the mindset you have when you ask Siri and Alexa a question.
At this point, you're looking for an answer. You want to find it out. You don't let all those insecurities interfere. That's how you should approach questions at work.
I got to say one little disclaimer. With Siri and Alexa, you can ask 24/7. You may not want to do that with the people at work. You do want to make sure that they have a free moment, that they can take a moment to answer the question effectively. Just give a little common courtesy that maybe you wouldn't give to Siri and Alexa.
But the same principle should apply. If you need information, don't be afraid to ask. There's nothing worse than the feeling that you need to ask question, but you're afraid to, and at the same time, you know your productivity is going to take a hit.
