The bassline in this is so awesome. Not to mention Bob Bingham's deep booming voice. This song is perfect!

Caiphas is unbelievably handsome, what eyes

I really love this song's rhyme scheme. The stanzas are short and choppy, like two people urgently whispering to each other in secret.

One of the best scenes in the whole movie.

Those have won the "sexiest priests of all time award" for me. Caiaphas is definitely the most handsome bad priest ever :3

It sucks that this song isn't used more often, it's very important to the story, an introduction to the Pharisees before the big "Jesus Must Die" plot, and it give more character to Caiaphas and Annas, showing their hesitation and reasoning, all their closer bond

This one gets mw every time. The cadence. The rock. The electrical guitar. The lyrics themselves. It's just so satisfying to listen too ugh I love it so much. "I am law and Order!" Is so powerful, "then say so to the couuncillll"

This song is important, not just for their characters, but Caiaphas deserves this extra song being bass and all.

I met them both last night and they (and Ted and Yvonne) were so sweet, kind great to their fans. We watched the entire movie. All of them very humble; Kurt is a live wire, and Yvonne is a hoot! What a great gal! Really funny. They all seem to totally enjoy being back together again and on the road. It's the 50th anniversary so try to catch them on tour!

I really wish more productions would include this song. In addition to being melodically catchy, it gives more depth to the high priests and their motives (besides unqualifiedly saying, “He is dangerous”).

This song is not included in the Opera Rock, but it's fantastic, one of the best!

I like how they turned Annas into Caiaphas' weasely minion, when in reality, Annas was actually his father-in-law and the former high priest.

The look in Caiaphas’ eyes at the end of the song….a gut wrenching mind blowing decision

I had a girl crush on the guy who played Anas back in 1973....despite his high pitched voice. ~ I understood the genius though. He was balance to the bass voice of Ciaphus. The scene with all the high priests up on the scaffolding, looking high and mighty and condescending is perfect for that scene. I always loved how the modern day and ancient were merged in several scenes. The might of the tanks and jets, signifying the Roman occupation and power and the scene in the temple where sex and drugs were being sold along with other wares. -Defiling the temple, the house of prayer. -I'll always love this production!

I grew up with this movie, and all my life, the part where Annas is lurking behind Caiaphas - 1:56 - never failed to make me laugh. Annas' height and wide-eyed facial expression are creepily entertaining.

This song was the reason I walked from Jerusalem to the Herodian...in the days when that was still possible. An amazing place to witness.

It is a shame how some productions drop this. In my opinion it's perhaps the best song in the entire show. Very powerful music.

I've always loved this song as an addition to the film from the original score; never realized till just now that the whole (sung) dialogue section is one continuous unbroken shot

I like the subtle guitar at the beginning and end.
