What If I Could’ve Changed Things? | Why Me? EP. 15 | Dr. Omar Suleiman | A Ramadan Series on Qadar

"If only things had been different..."
"What if I had done something else..."

The phrases "what if" and "if only" are often used for regret or to dream of a seemingly better reality...but if you adopt a more fruitful perspective, you can use the phrases to see what you were saved from instead. Regret can be inescapable, but when we wonder "what if" that regret has the potential to turn into something worse. Why does "what if" open the doors to Shaytan, and what are positive ways to use "if only"?

No amount of regret can change the past, and no amount of worry can change the future. Learn from the past, prepare for the future and embrace the present. Do your best, and leave the rest to Allah.

My only regret. Iam unable to help my Palestinian brothers and sisters who are dying infront of my eyes. What we will say infront of Prophet Muhammad if he says what have you done for children of Palestine where was my Ummah when they were starving, being bombed every second where was your so called wealth, power etc etc 💔🥺

As a new muslim, with this being my first ever Ramadan. I want to thank Allah and everyone at Yaqeen Institute for this beautiful series. Each day after Fajr I watch each new video and I feel as though it is directly speaking to me and helping me through my thoughts and things that have happened ever since I accepted Islam. Alhamdulillah, I love you all for the sake of Allah. 🤲🏽❤️

This series has changed my life. I don’t know what would have happened without it. Thank you dear Omar Suleiman, for doing this.

This one ties in nicely to yesterday’s episode of people who cross your path and are placed there by the qadr of Allah. We could say what if I had never met this person then my life would have been different or we could say Alhamdulillah I met this person and because of that I am a different person. JazakAllah Khayr for this series. I will be going back and watching this one for a long time. This series has so many lessons that you can’t take them in all at once. And some of them we might not need right now because we are not facing that specific situation where the message would resonate with us. Definitely a keeper.

Subhan'Allah, Hajj 2022 I met with an accident in Mecca 😢I broke my leg...needing a metal plate in my leg and not being able to do the Hajj rituals...but Shukr Alhamdulilah as there is a higher purpose for this as I know Allah s.w.t wanted ease for me😢So I endured Arafat day...only to be hospitalised again with being in icu....Allah wants ease...so he gifted me with sickness on this blessed day...we don't realise Allah s.w.t is in full control of our lives...even if we don't agree with the outcome....😊Have Tawakal....Allah gives us numerous chances to turn back to him...run in that direction

JazaakAllahu khair for the reminder. The past six months have been a struggle and the “ifs” have lingered in my mind. May Allah have mercy on us all, forgive our shortcomings, and resolve our problems. Aameen.

I have battled with hurt from heartbreak for a long time and sometimes I wonder if the pain can ever be completely forgotten. May Allah heal my heart, bless me with a pious and loving spouse and beautiful children who will be steadfast in Islam. Please say a Dua for me 🙏

Each and every episode of this series is relatable for me at a spiritual level..I can't stop crying after seeing this..As a person who was born with incurable skin disease and now dealing with multiple hardship, this episode works as healer.. I pray Allah helps everyone who is going through hardships..I'd be grateful if anyone prays for me too..

Im so glad what didnt work didnt work. Allah took me on some path! I hated the world and Allah because of things. And loads of bad things happened but Allah had my back all along. His forgiveness is a love hard to embody hlbut we must try.

A person said: "Allahu Akbar". In the few seconds said: "La ilaha illallah". Then immediately after that said: "La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu min-adh-dhalimeen". Again, few seconds later, said: "Subhanallahi wa bi hamdihi - Subhanallahil 'Azeem". This way, 70, 000 good deeds (sawab) were earned, Ma sha Allah.! 😇

And this person is you.🤎✨
