Fujifilm X Raw Studio Tutorial + My Custom JPEG Settings

I think the key point with XRAW Studio is that it actually uses the camera’s processor to generate the JPEG, not the computer’s, which is why the camera needs to be plugged in (and charged). Settings are therefore completely locked down to whatever the connected camera can process, e.g. you won’t be able to start tweaking with a Reala Ace simulation as a starting point on older cameras. It’s a great tool for experimenting and developing your own simulations.

I wonder if you can save the settings as a LUT and use it on video. That would be a cool feature.

I always shoot and use RAW, never jpeg. But the X-raw studio allows me to play around with film simulations and sometimes I really hit on something that works well. For me, this is the ONLY way to do simulations.

04:28. Where does it indicate that it was shot in Kodachrome custom setting, can't see a tick or anything.

For the DR problem, just set your ISO to be 640 and above and then you can change between all DR values (100, 200, 400). Of course, there might be a touch more grain at 640 but nothing to worry about on the modern Fuji’s!

Hi Zach. Thank you. If I wanted to change the sequence of the custom settings on my XT three how would I do that through this software? Another words if Padilla is number two, and I wanted to make it number one for the custom settings. How would I do this?

Great video (also awesome photos!) I will have to try out this Raw studio! I switched to Fuji last summer, and left lightroom for Capture One in the fall, but still missing some features from lightroom to be honest. What do you use otherwise?

Just starting to use Raw Studio. I don't see the tab with the custom profiles I have setup on the camera while in Raw Studio. Any idea why? Thanks Zach

Hello Zach and all. I used the X Raw Studio software with Raw files and made my adjustments. Saved it as a jpg file in the original file. I opened Lightroom to import the
file but LR didn't see the jpg. Not even as a duplicate. I made adjustments on a different image and saved it as a TIF. The TIF file appeared in the LR import window and it was imported. I made a folder and dragged the jpg file into it. then I launched LR and clicked import, chose the new folder and LR saw the jpg file. Strange things are happening here. Why?

if it doesn't save the edits to the raw file then how do you go back and change it later? It would be so much more useful as a lightroom plugin.

i connected my camera it says its conneted but doesnt show my recipe's on the right side what am i doing wrong ??
