If you're having trouble getting enough damage to enable the Catalina perk, just remember to have a Trombone on the build. The damage increase from the heating effect of the Trombone also goes toward increasing the perk of Catalina cabin.

Used to run Avalanche with Hadron+King on small tracks, but the speed and lack of maneuverability hampered it despite the shots it could put out
Nowadays I run an Avalanche Deadman on Omni+ golden eagle. Comparable reload, lower power score, insane maneuverability. One of my favorite builds, and quite effective

Cockpit +3 boosters and a reload on a similar build with Phobos can be nasty. No need to charge a cabs perk either. I’ve hit 1700+ cab damage before with that combo.

Instead of Catalina I would or rather used to use the master cab with this mortar and the result is that the gun quite literally was almost impossible to break off unless the target was using a high DPS build even though the setup worked well the Master cab was taking too much damage since it overheates during repair and being a tall cab its easy to hit from any range.

I use Avalanche Catalina in heli mode. No frames, just the ultimate bot farmer.

Few more points:
All damage dealt counts towards the perk. In match where you popped the Goliath bot, you got 3 charges in 2 shots.

Also, by jove your accuracy with this gun is crazy! You time and lead the shots so well! GG!
