I can totally see it, the animation style looks similar, and that yellow thing looks bizarrely similar to a wonder seed. But it could just be that one track being a wonder themed track.

You know what? "Mario Kart Wonder" sounds like a good way to keep MK fresh by incorporating elements from Wonder into Mario Kart so it isn't the same rinse and repeat game. Odds are actually pretty likely that you're exactly right.

Its actually pretty likely, having the samw mechanic of changing the tracks like the stages in wonder would be amazing a an awesome breath of fresh air
