I have different sketchbooks one for the refined polish drawings and one to be goofy in and just throw things at the wall to see what sticks. I think it’s really important to have a goofy sketchbook. thanks for all the great tips. I haven’t gone people drawing yet, but I’m excited to start.

When i crave doing life drawing but cant get out some where with people, i go on tiktok and draw each person i see pop up (ok maybe not EVERY person, but most) and it really helps with stylized portraits. Not so much with full body gestures, but you could look up outfit of the day videos or work out videos etc and go from that. You get the luxury of pausing too!

My favorite pages of my sketchbook are of the people at a ren faire I went to a few years ago. It was super quick sketches of the faire goers because everyone is walking by. It was fantastic!

I did a series of people drawing on the bus (i have a long bus commute to campus) for a final art project. I like using pen to avoid erasing and forces me to be gestural and be more confident with my lines.

It's been half a year since I did people drawing. This video inspired me to go back with people drawing. Thank you so much ❤

i was in an airport recently with a super long layover and i really wanted to draw people but i got too scared and just drew a character of mine on my phone instead 😭😭

going people drawing is too nervewracking for me 😭 even though I know that they probably don't even realize I'm there, my brain still convinces me that they're looking at me, judging me 😅

I'll try people drawing from live city cameras though- that should work just as well
