Definitely disagree here. You're missing that Kenobi was able to capitalize on Anakin's recklessness because he trained Anakin. He knew his fighting style inside and out. It is the reason Kenobi was able to last as long as he did against Anakin. Anakin doesn't fight like suited-Vader. So Luke would have no frame of reference. Also, Anakin was unstable during the Mustafar fight because he was in-raged that Kenobi had "turned Padme against him." If you take away the film plot and just look at their abilities, Anakin smokes Luke. Especially since he is confirmed to be on the same level as Yoda, Mace and Sidious in terms of swordplay.

Anikin trained at the temple so I would assume his technique would be more proper we’re as Luke was trained pretty much by himself

Anakin wins in my opinion. A decade of being trained by pros at the temple, duels with actual sith, using his emotions to fight, oh and being the freaking chosen one all give him the advantage over Luke I think. Sure Luke would be more calm and collected but Luke’s few years of being trained by mostly himself wouldn’t compare to Anakins shear power and skill at this point.

Anakin wins with ease. He’s a better lightsaber duellist and force user. Fight ends fairly quickly, even Anakin at start of ROTS beats Luke.

Vader was holding back, but so was Luke. They were both holding back and trying to sway the other, and Luke won.

Crazy to see how many people think anakin wins. Anakin is my all time favorite character in Star Wars as well but I think Luke wins comfortably in this fight. George Lucas even said Luke was the most powerful Jedi to ever exist. He had everything anakin had without the anger and impatience.

To me I think if Anakin had a Obi-Wan mind to stay calm and collected and merge Anakin and Vader together no doubt he would reach his potential

Sorry bro but Anakin slams Luke and so does Obi Wan. Anakin has beat Dooku, slaughtered the jedi temple taking people like Cin Drellig out with ease who is a master of all forms of lightsaber combat and he almost beat Obi Wan, arguably the best user of form 3 period. imo Anakin is just a stronger, less calm version of Luke. He has more experience, is faster, stronger, better in lightsaber combat and stronger in the force.

Anakin slams Luke low-mid diff, he’d just go offensive and Luke couldn’t do anything about it. It’d be similar in energy to Maul vs Qui Gon just a easier win

Anakin wins. Luke has never won a real lightsaber fight. Anakin has trained with Yoda, Windu, Obi, and many more. It would be over within 5 minutes. Anakin’s skills were forged in war.

Luke would have the better foresight and predict where anakin is going. So what we never saw Luke do the twirls and spins with his saber in the OT like Anakin. It doesn’t mean he can’t do it now or even more proficient than anakin. Basically y’all just stfu

Anakin has 13 years of experience/10 years of formal jedi training
Luke had a few months of direct 24/7 training from yoda but only 6 years of experience as a jedi

Anakin wouldn't be unstable against luke because he wouldn't be angry at him for anything, he would be calm and would have no reason to use the dark side unless he started loosing. If he then used the dark side it he would win before it would make him unstable.
He wouldn't be arrogant towards Luke since he doesn't know luke
Canon Luke would be arrogant since his arrogance and ego is what led him to where he was in the sequels and he thinks he already beat vader who he thought was a more powerful version of anakin

Overall Anakin will win because when Obiwan and Anakin dueled count Dooku… Dooku won off of experience dueling and could easily defeat both Anakin and Obi at the same time if he wanted to use the force with light saber fighting. Using both force with light saber combat was used during clone wars and obiwan series. Don’t forget Vader was completely toying with Luke while using the force. Luke still hasn’t been taught by a trained Jedi knight or Master with the light saber. So Luke is the greatest by destroying dark troopers??? Lol 😂 Don’t forget Anakin and Obi destroyed maybe close to 500, 000 droids each… come on now

kinda ironic that Anakin's Need to Prove himself was his undoing in ROTS like Obi-wan said in the show. I like Both but i would say Anakin over Luke
