Make no mistake, the Richat Structure matches far more aspects of the description of the lost city of Atlantis than any other proposed site from around the world, including the most significant and precise details described by Plato. The Eye of the Sahara is the most likely location for Atlantis, and should be excavated immediately.

You may not have noticed, the Richat structure is located just south of the ATLAS mountains. Atlantis is Greek for Island of ATLAS. Not a coincidence.

These days, an expedition to the Richat Structure should be funded by the people. The curious and the open minded. So much money is given away to startup projects on the internet, like games, products, cars, etc. Why not an expedition and excavation? Create a crowdfunding campaign and make a live documentary of the expedition.

Don't you just love academics that know everything about Atlantis...except where it is located. I do not think Plato would have described this city if it did not once exist. Jimmy, your theory of its location and demise is just as informative as any text book. Keep digging. It will be found one day...if we keep looking.

10 years ago I was an archaeology student in a univ here in Romania and i remember that me, my colleagues and my professor at that time came up with a well documented theory about the language, different customs and the foreign policy of the Dacian empire that basically needed a rewrite about what we know about Dacia. We published papers, we sent letters to the Romanian Academy, we planned conferences to promote our theory, and we got shut down, everywhere we went. And in the end, tired of our persistent approach one of the Academy members told us, "...for 50 years I wrote and published everything that you learn now in schools about the Dacian empire. You think i will ever let you, a bunch of students, tell me I'm wrong?". And that was it, is very hard(not impossible) to convince others historians that are wrong. And when you got a monopoly on this subject and you are the guy that everybody calls about this particular subject, you will tell them that they are wrong, so that you can still be relevant. We wonder why the Wikipedia, Atlantis page is locked? We wonder why we don't see this news in mainstream media? Let's say that some news station will pick up this story, you think they will call Jimmy? Probably not, they will call some guy that will say that this story is fake. The evidence is there!!! Even the oldest map of the roman empire, Pomponius Mela's world map shows the name Atlantae on the Richat structures. Why is there even a debate about this?

After watching both part and part 2, I'm definitely convinced that this structure is most likely the location of Atlantis. It's impossible to say for for sure without proper archeological research in the area, however the similarities to Plato's description are too numerous to deny it. The world's landscape has definitely changed in 12, 000 years, so it's definitely possible that the area was once oceaninc.

Not gonna lie, prior to finding out about the Richat structure I wasn't convinced that Atlantis was ever an actual place.

Sir, thank you for showing my calculations at 6:24. I truly believe you may have discovered Atlantis. Here is my original post on your other video, for those who want to check my math:

Did you do the math? The land is rising by 1.6" each year. multiply 1.6" x 11, 600 years, and you get 18, 560 inches. Divide this by 12, and you get 1546 feet. Let's round that up to 1550 feet. It is strikingly close to the figure of 1300 feet of rise! (it also puts Atlantis on the 'ABOVE sea level' side of things, which is where it needs to be.

Ancient Architects channel pretty much dismissed Richat as Atlantis capital (he offered an alternative explanation, Frisland, a sunken island near Ireland, with topography maps proving it's location underwater), because he couldn't wrap his head around land rising last 12 000 years, oceans being higher at that time and the obvious current state of west Sahara, looking all washed away.

But one this is pretty certain: the Atlantis capital was either Richat Structure, or at the Frisland island, and Jimmy and the Ancient Architects guy should be commended for their will to do this research and re-ignite the interest in this topic.
