For someone who only had a potato laptop for years and played games at 30fps and below, this was a godsend and I'm pretty much happy with what I got. The storage sucks but honestly it taught me how to try to focus on one game until I finish it and can download another 🤣 I love it and no regrets from me

The low storage is not good, but depending on your gaming habits can be fully okay. For me I have Forza 5 installed constantly and plus one story based game that I'm currently playing. Also don't know that if it's a bad thing at all. When I have 20+ games installed on any system I just screw around within games ending up not playing anything at al. The series S low storage resolves this. If I have 10-20 minutes to play I just fire up forza to do 2-3 races, when i have more time I go with a story based one to sink more time in it. As a result I finish up way more games than before, also feels good to complete a game, extends playtime and reduces buying games that you don't have time for.

Coming from a long term PS user, I really love the idea that Microsoft has put behind the Series S & GamePass. If it wasn't for the SpiderMan2, Wolverine & God of War ragnarok exclusivity, I would have blindly opted for a Series S. The Low Price & Small size of Series S just feels more than right. Also GamePass is the cheapest way to enjoy beautiful games on Series S.

My mom just surprised me with this a few days ago. Complete surprise. For someone who hasn't had a console system since PS2 came out (also still have it BTW) this is amazing for me. As I am someone who only bounces from a few games and then would likely move them anyway, the storage shouldn't be an issue for me. I'm just more excited to have a way to game again.

This is a great video dude. I have a PS5 but I've been tempted to get the Series S just for some xbox exclusives.

I am a long-time Xbox gamer, I bought my original Xbox in 2004 (and still have it now). I bought my Series S back in late February and it's a great little console especially for the price. The lack of an optical drive isn't too big of a deal to me since I have my model 1540 Xbox One hanging around yet for disc-based games. What I like the most about the Series S are the FAST load times compared to the Xbox One and also that many games are getting boosts to 60 frames per second. The internal storage is puny, but I might get a Samsung T7 SSD external hard drive so that I can get additional storage at a somewhat reasonable price and have decent load and transfer speeds still (even if I cannot play optimized games on it). Will probably get a Series X once supply is back to normal and we see a refresh of the current consoles.

Funny hearing complaints about having to wait 15 mins. I remember just to download a game that was 664k(One side of a 5 1/4 floppy) from a BBS back in 1986 you needed to wait all night. Basically started the download and went to bed. Awesome video. That's for being to the point and clear. You are you.

Great review. I also have my Xbox Series S from launch and still use it. Game Pass is what i use most of the time.

For most Game Pass usages, as long as you're not mainlining multiple Call of Duty titles, there's space for lots of good stuff. If you want 25 big ole AAA games installed at all times, you're probably gonna run into storage issues, but otherwise it's not as bad as you'd think. Remember, we were working with a lot less on PS3/X360.

I bought my Xbox series s at target last month, a week ago I seen that target just restocked on the series X, after playing both consoles I decided to return my S for the X. The graphics are insanely noticeable between the 2, and the speeds are just much quicker on the X. I couldn’t stand the blurry view I was getting from the S, after switching it just felt and seemed so much more crisp. The S feels just like the regular Xbox one but it can handle next gen.. if that makes sense, where the X feels better then the Xbox one by a long shot and can handle the next gen games properly without feeling off

I've had it 9 months and the thing that sold it for me is that it's the same price as new xbox one, next gen for the same price as past gen is a no brainer. I miss having a disc drive though

It's so cool to see someone psyching so much over a console and design lab and all that. I never really considered design lab, I might give it a go. I definitely feel like the storage is the major loss for the series S too.

I LOVE my Series S. I mainly use it as a GamePass machine and I use it next to my PS5 and Switch. I think out of the 3, the Series S is the best looking. It's such a simple and great design. My last Xbox was the 360 and I hadn't played that one in over 15 years. It was great to log in and see all my saves and information just be there like I never went away. It loved playing the Gears of War games and playing the new ones. GamePass is really great. I have played games I normally wouldn't have played if they were full price. About the storage, I was never short on it. I play one game, maybe two games at a time, also on Switch and PS5, so I never was short on storage. I also have PS Plus Premium, but GP does feel different.

I love the Series S. Not just as a side console but it's just great for gamers on a budget.

I have had my Xbox series S for nearly a year and I still love it. Sure it isn’t as powerful as the Series X or the PS5 but the Series S is much easier to obtain. People who are seeking a next gen console should remember there are still Series S consoles available.

I’m sold! The fact that it has an emulator on it, plus the backwards compatibility and it plays all the next gen games. I’ll have one very soon
