I'm fully expecting the possibility of having my son with me for tge rest of my life. I love him tremendously. At the same time, I want to set some goals for him. Some days are really challenging and I've take 20 steps back. Today was one of those days😢 usually when we take a step back we go forward a little later.

I’m a single mom who’s struggling a lot and I recently started seeing symptoms of autism in my daughter. It’s really hard but I’m trying my best to educate myself. Thanks 🙏

I'm trying to humble myself. I think my little brother has autism and my mom has a stroke. I also believe my mom has depression/narcissistic personality disorder or bi polar disorder. She hits him a lot

Ummm. No.. in my opinion people are not willing to help.. especially when your child has Autism and is difficult. My daughter is a single mom. I help her as much as I can but we are both exhausted. NO ONE has "offered " help.. she works hard and I help her with babysitting as often as I can. She has 2 other children (they do not have Autism).
We are doing our best💪
We love him to pieces ❤ pray for us.

Babysitting? You think a high schooler is capable of watching my son?? I don’t even trust a “certified trained” Aba therapists… they don’t even need a bachelors degree but they are capable of using serious therapy on our children. Make it make sense.

No people want to help!
If they see you have a special kid, they will leave you away!
No resources for ASD kids in here!
All by yourself!
This is reality if you have this situation!

I am a single parent blessed with two Autistic children. They are in the process of shifting from ABA Therapy to public school. I am waiting for their Evaluations and IEPs to ensure their safety and to prevent a teacher from quitting her job the first week! No joke!
I am very challenged with keeping house with their particular set of skills as human tornadoes 🌪 😀 I am caring with them with only a break on Sunday for a few hours while they are at Dad's house. It has been a very long few weeks.
Please don't pretend you could ever leave your kids with a babysitter. I don't even have family in the State to cart my kids off to. No one volunteers. The list of people I would trust with my challenging children is this big 🤏 I was hoping for some actual tips that are strategies to make their care easier, like some organization tips or something... Some tips to help them get sensory input from home, while I handle my business.
