I don't know why there are very few monitors that mount to the rearview mirror, too small picture? I dislike the large monitor sitting on the dash in the way, it's not like you are using the rearview mirror anyway.

It seems like this system would also be idea for those who want a simple two-camera option for security. We have a 6x10 converted for scuba diving and off-grid living, so having a low-power ability to see if someone is nosing around the trailer is an attractive idea.

Thanks for this video. I just finished installing my camera mount, and tested the camera in the cab prior to packing for our trip to Arizona on Sunday this week. It was a pleasure to have a solid piece of evidence on the functionality, and we are very happy to have a good backup camera for our 24' Imagine.

I've been binging your videos since purchasing my first camper. She's old and has needed TLC but I'm getting there. I bought a solar camera but I'm having trouble installing. There is dead space behind the exterior wall. I can push the exterior wall in quite a bit. Can I use an anchor? Otherwise, it's not going to attach to much. I've looked all over the internet and can't find an answer. Please help. Thanks for all your videos!

I installed a camera on my 5th wheel, tow vehicle was a dodge ram, couldn't get a signal? The fix was to turn my lights on in the truck, take them out of "Automatic" and that provided the power to the factory pre-wired setup in the RV camper. So, it was plug in play after all :)

This type of camera system is exactly what I've been looking for. You mentioned some might need a wired extension antenna. Do you know where they can be purchased? I didn't find it listed on the Auto-Vox website. My 5th wheel is 37 feet long so I'm just about 50 feet from the back of my RV to the dashboard of my truck where the monitor would be and that's the max distance they mention for this type of camera system..

So .. I have a backup camera - but - I need a cargo area camera for backing up and hitching my fifth wheel. Will this magnetic base work with the original camera that comes with the system? Like you - I will be attaching it and taking it off as needed. Thanks for the video.

For the life of me, I can't understand why a camera cannot have a battery and charge from the 12 volt on travel days and run on battery while camping. I have battery security cameras at home that have a cord to charge that I can leave attached or remove when charged and they last 90 days. they're just not very aerodynamic for RV use. Have you seen anything that would fit my unusual dream for a RV camera?
