I think the hardest part of this job is to find the place to hide the real power supply :)

I built your design using only AC/DC CD's. Now I get both Ac and Dc on the same wires, and don't need to worry about polarity.

This project is an excellent idea. You should place the panel in the garden where it is clearly visible and then watch the neighbors roll on the ground

It should be titled 'I turn nonsense into clickbait gold'.
I like all those twisted wire joints where he hasn't even stripped off the insulation.

Looks good but already tried it, it produces no power at all. Hell I tried the experiment with Soil, Copper wire and Zinc screws using an ice cube tray and got 6 volts. That was impressive. One thing I find unbelievable is that you are saying that was 220V and managed to power the lights; with no protection or any way to regulate the volts or amps those lights would have exploded the instant you touched the bulb with both wires. Sorry to debunk the video but if you were in fact playing with 220V of un protected wires, then the instant you touched the wires together it would have sent a shockwave through the copper wire cracking if not destroying the CD's within. Not to mention burn your fingers in the process as at one point you fought to pull the wires apart. Those wires would have been close to melting point. Also if you can build your own solar panels and get 220V from one panel, why do you have actual solar panels on your roof.

No, CD's and DVD's do not have the materials needed to produce the photovoltaic effect, which is critical for Solar PV, so one cannot make solar panels out of CD's and DVDs.

Thank you i was going to buy a gallon of chlorine to drink now i will spend my time making this solar panels to help poor people you saved my life!

Great idea, i used AC/DC cds with the cds topside down and this meant i didn't need an inverter.

I understand some basic science and I can guarantee this device will operate just as well at night as it does during the day. :)>

Also be very careful which CDs you choose. Each CD must have at least one song title on them containing the word sun or solar for this to work properly.

I found that using older vynal records work a lot better. The black surface absorbs more of the
suns rays producing much higher voltage output. Also, if you run the current backwards through the record, you can get what is called a "black light" effect.

Я ничего не знаю о КПД этой установки, но в любом случае восхищаюсь терпением автора. Намотать по 46 витков проволоки на пару десятков дисков - это серьезно

Freakin Epic, I have GOT to build one of these, I think I still have all my old 90's and 2000 CD's and DVD's and this looks REALLY handy when/if the electrical grid goes offline and everyone is struggling to find POWER, thanks for the video!!!

I'm so glad I found this. I was going to the store to buy boron, gallium, and phosphorus and now I don't have to. I've got a huge collection of old CDs I don't even listen to anymore. I'll just use them! Thank you. You saved my life.

There's no point in taking this simple project and making a huge mountain out of a molehill with it!! Of course this Man knows that he don't have a way to regulate the power being generated, this is exactly why he was using 220 volt light bulbs.. But Thank all you geniuses that quickly point out the obvious. HINT: If this didn't work for you after you followed directions the take each disc and hold them up to the light. Do a quick visual check to make sure the discs aren't extremely scratched up beyond usable condition. Try to pick out a few discs that are not scratched up really bad.. It took me 3 times but it finally worked. I just need a power bank to store the power..
