This is how I open every car I get called to but this not normal I very rarely get a call with the window cracked

This is a 1 out of 1000 scenario. Nobody leaves one window is slightly down when they lock their cars

The card only works on the driver side

the key reader is on the driver side piller not the passenger side. it has to be pressed against it between the camera & the door trim to read and unlock the car. the manual release lever should only be used in an emergency as it could damage the trim around the window if you open the door before the window drops down. to turn the car on with just the key the key needs to be on the center console behind the cup holders then press the brake pedal. if the battery is dead there is a cap on the front bumper with battery wires to give the 12v a little juice to start the computers & open the doors. the way this was done in the video can cause unnecessary damage to the car.

Just an fyi they make a separate tool for just Tesla’s Access Tools is the only one who has it that I have seen. The problem with the long reach through the window is you run a high risk of breaking it because of how far out it bends. With the Access Tools brand tool it’s super thin about as thick and flat as a Slim Jim.

Thats how you unlock a Tesla that has its window cracked open already. Thats not how you open a locked Tesla when all the windows are closed which 99% of them will be. So change the name of this video to reflect what this video really is
