I couldn't name a single Diddy song, but I still liked this video.

I've been doing my part by not listening to Robert Kelly or Sean Combs' music since before they started making it.

I used his I’ll be missing you song at my brothers funeral, I think going forward any funerals I’m involved in planning I’ll go with someone who’s dead for the music choice..less likely to have scandal

I am very fortunate in that I have never knowingly heard any of Diddy's music. My sympathies go out to everyone who needs to weed him from their playlists.

I actually find this dilemma really interesting. What's our tolerance level? What are we willing to "forgive", up to the point where they've lost us? I think it's really important to remember that some people use their persona to get away with their crimes. So, by supporting them, we become complicit in the ruse that allowed them to get away with what they did for however long they did. Some things are redeemable, some things aren't. (Yes, Diddy, the latter is you. Try starting with some genuine remorse! 🤦‍♀️🙄) Personally, i think accountability is important. Continuing to support them lets them get away with it. And conversely, some people get cancelled for things they've apologised for and reformed from. So, trial by social media is likely not the fairest process. Still, I think social & economic repercussions are warranted, especially if the activity was criminal. Difficult when their art came to mean something to you in a unique way. Still. Well, there's my assessment fir this skit! Lol! Comedy commentary. 🤔🤷‍♀️🙈😜💫

Luckily there is an abundance of amazing hiphop out there that has zero association with Diddy. I've gone decades without my music listening habits putting a penny in his pocket and I listen to A LOT of hiphop.

good thing mase, big, lox and several others wrote all or most of the hits from that label...the only thing diddy did was sample songs that were already hits in a different era

Don't punish yourself for someone else's crimes. Enjoy what you enjoy.

I feel it’s fine to listen to music despite the creator’s actions. Like you’ve enjoyed listening to something for years and then all of a sudden you have to pretend to hate it? Or you have to ignore it despite liking it out of some weird sense of solidarity? Unless you’re listening to it in front of their victims or something, it’s fine.

On a side note, if you can’t separate the art from the artist, and you associate it with the actions and no longer enjoy it, that’s fine too.

I feel like the people that tell you that you can’t listen to it anymore are the same people that would shame you for not shaving your head in solidarity for a classmate that’s going through chemo.

Also, if you’re worried about giving a bad person money, just pirate it.
