Better than cookies!?

Ingredients:
225g softened butter
150g light brown sugar
75g granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2tsp vanilla
270g plain flour
1tsp bicarbonate of soda
1tsp salt
350g chocolate chips (+50g for topping)

1) Preheat your oven to 180°C/ Gas Mark 4/ 169°C (fan)

2) In a large bowl, whisk together the butter and both sugars.

3) Add the eggs and vanilla and mix them in.

4) Add the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt and mix until just combined.

5) Fold the chocolate chips into the mix.

6) Scoop the mix into a lined baking tin and smooth it out.

7) Sprinkle 50g chocolate chips on top for the topping.

8) Bake for 25 minutes then let them cool fully.

9) Enjoy!

For people who don’t use metric:

2 sticks softened butter
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup of granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cup of plain/all purpose flour
1 tsp baking/bicarbonate soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips (or as many as u wish)
1/4 cup chocolate chips on top (or as u wish)

Bake: 320F - 25 min

My mom makes something similar, except we don’t measure in grams because that’s a pain. Also we don’t have one of those scale thingies. I just know that there is 3 sticks of butter in ours for a pan. They are SO GOOD.
