for people who aren't successful with this approach... in recovery mode, I was just pushing all three buttons randomly for almost a minute when the menu finally appeared... In one of these other YT videos this was done and that initially didn't work so I ended up here. I have a Google Pixel 3a with the latest Android version (as of May 2024).

His tablet kept restarting and wouldn't make it past the onn logo so appreciate you because was able to wipe his tablet back to factory reset and it came on and now been able to use the tablet again!
