Safety tip: Remove fuel pump fuse (#54 on 2001 BMW 325I) And run car until it shuts off. Relieves pressure from lines. A mechanic would mention this.😉

Appreciate you leaving everything in. Not just point out where bolts are and then cutting to the cover off and so on. Nice to see the whole process before going in

Ankur, Thank you so much for making these videos. I recently bought my first E46 and have very little experience working on cars. Every time I have a problem with the car or need to work on something you have a video up that helps me get the job complete. Thank you so much for taking the time to create such great videos.

I replaced this on my 01 330i today.
The fuel rail pressure before I replaced it, was 45 PSI.
I removed the fuel pump fuese #54 and ran the engin until it died.
After I replace the fuel pressure regulator, the fuel rail pressure read 55 PSI.
I determined that it was a little clogged.

Thanks for the awesome video.

So good to have your videos to watch over and over to be better prepared for the projects I'm doing to my car. I was concerned about purchasing my BMW due to the stories of expensive repairs and preventive maintenance for this car. But after watching numerous video from your site I felt better about my decision to purchase the car. You have been a great resource for many of the repairs and maintenance I have done over the past several months. Thanks again for all the videos. I love my car and have enjoyed working on it!

Nice video. One thing - It is better not to put the fuel cover before you prime the fuel for flowing for few seconds (when you put the key to ignition position) so it is easier to diagnose if there is a leak in one of the hoses attached to the fuel filter or elsewhere under the cover. Even two people can do better, one turning the key to ignition another watching under the car for leak.

I've still got to do this. One of the few remaining things to take care of on my E46. Thanks for sharing! Keep up the good work!

A good precaution is to check if there are any cracks on the rubber hose. If so, replace those, too, while everything is out.

Thanks for keeping it real, and understandable, and a BMW I feel is like any other car I've owned, just become one, with the car, !!
