Slip bobber rigs work great for trout too. Thats what I use out here in Utah. You could also use a water bobber with a 6 ft leader and a leech lure (real leech if you can). We can't use live bait out here.

I am going to try some of that sauce on my power bait. On my split sinker and split shot rigs I snell a hook then 8-12 inches down the line I snell another hook the extra sent in the water increases bites compared to the guys fishing around me.
