Poor people don’t understand this and think a refund is free money when most of the time it’s their overpayment in taxes being returned back to them, the Gov thanks you for the interest free loan.

These are the things that need to be taught in high school that pertains to real life. Not the "pythagorean theorem". Everyone knows what that is but it's not used by everyone in real life. Like a basic tax accounting course starting from freshman year and should be a requirement before graduation! Just to prevent confusion when you're dealing with taxes in life.

Don't you think it's weird that at end of year refund calculation is also done by person or agent filing instead of IRS personnel calculating and giving back refunds eligible ? For several obvious reasons like - ultimately IRS has the withholding, the calculator and if it doesn't match they charge fines as well.

I paid more in taxes thanks to the obama care penalty. The name obama was spelled that way intentionally.

As a moderate, I appreciate the fact that Trump is ending the penalty and will probably be voting for him come 2020. Money in my pocket & individual liberty are the two factors that matter the most.
