A number of African countries have reported similar cases of COVID-19 variants first detected in the UK and India. South Africa is the latest country to be added to the list.. with at least four cases reported. Two are in Gauteng and two in KwaZulu-Natal. They are all believed to have traveled from India. While the numbers are small many people are concerned that if not properly managed this may pose a greater risk for the country. SABC News Foreign Editor Sophie Mokoena talks about different variants across the world and how COVID-19 could impact the 2021 local government elections in South Africa.
