This year i worked hands-on for a hotel for the first time. And my observations line up with what is said in this video. It makes much more sense to do lower level of work than ones education - such as housekeeping - when the staff member holds in their heart appreciation for the art, cultural heritige and the leagacy of people who are guests or builders of this hotel structure, as motivation to perform duties that are not so intellectual, yet provide a staff member with the rare opportunity to preserve this living gallery space in a pristine state, getting to know the culture, woven into constructing it little by little. Its like a rare oportunity to receive payment for being around your favorite artists while they work and its a great mptivator having that aspect to your working life. It is satisfying working to keep tidy your favorite galleries and museums, so to speak.
