How to scale a spread axle trailer in one shot - Melton Truck Lines

I don't like going back onto the scale a 2nd time. So this is the way I like to scale my loads. Let me know what you think.

See there you do learn something new everyday; I drove spread axle flatbeds for years hauling OD loads and never scaled out that way thanks for the great video; when I get back into a skateboard I will remember to do it this way makes a lot of sense

I have done this exact procedure to scale my loads but they usually dont get it right, im not sure why the CAT scale dont split that last platform it would make it easier

Many truck stops I have Jenn they don’t even have idea what’s spread Axel.once I had to call another truck stop and told them to explain how to do that wasted almost 1 hour there

You could do it on the APP if you just pull forward and get split and then hit reweigh and just disregard the steers on the reweigh.

So scale the whole truck? Then proceed to put the spread axle on weigh playforms 2 and 3

It’s always a toss up because some scales have no employees who know what they’re doing or how to weigh it

I would say 60% of the time, I say split axle, 1st weigh.The next thing I hear, "Your all set, come on in.18 min later and another scale, and 2 more employees, I have a split scale.10%, its still not right.

I don't get it. How is this not over weight on the spread axle? It's over 34000lbs. What am I missing here?
