Initially, Sonos acknowledged the Surround Audio level problem on the rear surround drivers on the Era 300, but they have since said that the problem cannot be reproduced. So I'm afraid that Sonos doesn't fully understand the problem. Hopefully this video (and your previous video) will help highlight the issue and Sonos will revisit the problem.

Great Vid Peter, i can definitely feel the added umph from this update. I had my sub to +3 before but now i have it +1.... for now, that may change as i listen to it more. Yeaaaah, i love the bass with the sonos system, so clean and punchy and it makes my heart smile so much which is why i tend to go a bit + with it. Tho i dont change the bass profile, just the sub. I still cant decide on what to upgrade next, upgrade to the C2 65" (some great clearance sales) or swap out my ones to the 300's. Why cant we have unlimited funds!! lol

Thanks and will always upgrade after this video to be very safe since
AST big bug occurs. For sub surface, it is recommend to clean up to maintain this nice finishing.

thank you for your videos i know i always enjoy the time and effort you put into them.
i hope sonos fixes the era300 surround level issue and i also hope they do add a toggle for the center driver. this way people have more options and we could then space out the 300 more and angle them slightly inward to potentially create a larger bubble.

Was a huge vocal skeptic about the era 300s as surrounds and I’ve had them for about a week now and I’m blown away! I learned not to doubt Sonos haha!! For real tho they sound amazing and I couldn’t be happier. I’m fine eating my words on this and I’m glad I have to…. I was wrong, very wrong.

Thanks for the great video as usual. I think I'm going to return my pair of Era 300s 'cos I'm really disappointing about their performance as a surround speakers and music speakers as well. I was expecting something more from these pair of speakers, and I'll probably go with a pair of Sonos Fives. I'm also very disappointing about the lack of fixing software issues from Sonos: more than three months for that kind of problem is really frustrating in my opinion.
