Thanks for the updated review. Wanted to get a pair to add to the beam but we were able to get our hands on some used One Gen2s for a really great price so I’m glad to hear the sound quality isn’t that much different between the two models so I don’t feel like I’m missing out! They are used as surround speakers anyways.

I have the arc 2 subs 2 era 100s an amplifier and 2 ceiling speakers. It is definitely over the top. The amplifier and the ceiling speakers over powers everything. 👍🏾

I had two sonos one sl stereo setup in my office decided to upgrade to the era 100 for the additional connections (Currently running one era 100). I can say the bass sounds better and its much more clear when you turn up the volume the mids and highs doesn't muddle up with the bass. No regrets in upgrading ill be getting the second one soon to pair as stereo.

I have a Beam with a Gen 3 Sub with Symfonisk rears for my LG OLED 55C1. I upgraded after X-mas to Sonos One SLs and really didn't hear a difference. Don't want to purchase the Era 100 for $500 just to end up with similar sound quality as my previous Symfonisk or One SLs. Mostly have the system in home theater mode with Atmos and Dolby 5.1 content.

WIll the Era 100 speakers connect to Googles Nest Pro MESH system? Im hearing yes and no. Some say it only connects to onoe device i.e. (soundbar) some say they arent compatiable with Sonos system. Im just trying to get a straigh answer before I purchase. Your response is appreciated.

Era 100s can sound far superior to Sonos Ones IF you know how to use their potential. Era 100s when used as surrounds provide you a 7.1.2 system, unlike with ones that maxes out at 5 channels. So if you use Era100s and watch physical medias with Dolby true HD 7.1 or DTS-HD 7.1 audio tracks, you’ll get a much better surround experience.

I ordered the ARC ULTRA + Sub Mini + Era 100's can't wait to get them its for a 12 x 12 foot man cave with 7.5 foot ceilings eventually i may upgrade to the GEN 4 Sub and the ERA 300's depends how the original set up sounds cheers from Canada

Thinking about 2x era 100 for under a porch. So setup in stereo.
Because of phone sometimes ring, go to super market and so on, i would youse most times whit a old tablet whit spotify on it on wifi.

Few questions you guys mebe know:

1. Lets say i hang 2x era 100 on the wall. Do they switch on when opening Sonos app or must i walk to each speaker to set on? Would hang deam 9 meters from each other. So auto switch on would be nice.
2. Can you fast switch between the device where Music comes from, So from: tablet to telefone?
3. Spotify works good trough wifi?


I just want something like this: set era's on trought app, select spotify music over era 100 and music works...
Dont want a system where you must do 15 things to set music, because how more you must do how less fast you put music on.

I have two Play 1's I use as stereo surround sound to my beam (gen 2), sub (gen3) setup. I've been thinking of upgrading them to era 100s but from the reviews I've seen (and your video), it looks like it's not worth it unless you are predominantly using them for music and not TV/Movies etc. Think I'll either wait for the Arc (Gen 2) or see what the next gen for single speakers are like.

I noticed you have some Homepod Minis at the desk. I was considering getting the Sonos Era 100s so I can use them as a PC speaker (mostly for calls) and playing lofi music at the desk. With that in mind, do you think it's worth getting the Era 100 or just getting a single Homepod Mini?
