I’m guessing that lifting the slide up by an inch or so is perfectly fine? That’s the only thing that makes me nervous, is getting the slide off track or crooked? Otherwise, thanks for the video and information!

Does any manufacturer use metal slides like these in original construction… suspect not due to cost which is a shame since this would so much easier to do in original construction.
