This truck needs very little upgrades honestly unless you want to spend a lot of money. I’ve had mine for about 6 months and I’ve only blown a tire. I’ve bashed it pretty good so far. I also have the luxury of working at a 3D printing company and I make metal parts. :) Printed myself sometimes new gears in titanium. They sound awesome and have a very different sound then the factory ones. Upgraded the tires and adjusted the suspension so I can slide this thing around on pavement without issues. Hardly ever flips over. Love this thing and I plan on making the entire drive system out of titanium. This was one of the best trucks I have driven by far.

Tommy I have an Jump tip for your RC, if you want to controll your RC in air, do this: when you speed up and go for jump, try to hold same throttle speed in air as the same you had right before you go of the jump, then you will fly straight in the air😄👌

If front wheel of RC point to much down, give more throttel speed, then your front wheel will turns up, if your front wheel point to much up, just hit small dose of break then it will turns down, but as I said above as if you have same speed out of jump you should be able to fly straight in the air and landing on all 4 wheel.. 😄👍 I saw you doing good landing at end😀👍

when you get the controll in air, you should be able to make big long jump over your basketball court.. 😄 lol

Traxxas I think are the best RC cars out there! Tommy They are very addictive, I have 3 4wd slash 1/10 and recently got the UDR! My whole family has a blast playing with them!

I used to own a gas powered Traxxas RC car a little over 15 years ago. It was crazy fast. Looks like electric is the way to go these days. And I’d definitely go with an off-roader now, so I can race it anywhere. My old gas-powered needed large areas of smooth pavement. Not very convenient.

I have a very important question and was wondering if you could help. I’m thinking of getting an xmaxx but don’t want to buy traxxas batteries. Traxxas cars now come with their traxxas ID connectors on the esc as stock. Will it still work ok if I change the connector on the esc to a deans or xc90 to run my batteries?? Please let me know if you can!!

I didn’t even run mine once before replacing the esc with a hobbywing max 6. I use maxamps batteries. I love it. Enjoy bashing it.

Lol. I’ve been into rc racing over 20 yrs. i own a T Maxx but this X Maxx seems to be a must have. I like driving nitro. Not much of a fan electric ⚡️. Thanks for the video.

Hi Tommy, I still have a few RC trucks sitting around from nineties, usually built from scratch and was very tedious, we would paint the plastic at home with air brush, also ran nitro fuel engines which would propel them to over 70mph...my sons became teens, discovered Subarus STIs so never run RC again..now they drive f30 BMW’s and I drive F80🤣🤣🤣...btw never go the nitro engines...too much trouble and spend most time starting and adjusting carbs but the sound is awesome..

That is a slippery slope you got yourself into. First, it starts with mods, eventually will want to go to the next professional rigs such as Associated, Losi, Serpent, Mugen. After a while you start to crave more and this is when you get into SxSs like the RZRs or Can Ams.

Dude so crazy, when the lock downs happened I first bought a traxxas slash 2wd. Then bought the 4x4 slash and 2 weeks ago I bought the new traxxas maxx and my next purchase will def be the xmaxx!! So weird that you decided to get in the hobby as well, its a slippery addictive slope! Lol
