Ive seen this done by Efren in an actual game. Lee Van Corteza was actually a commentator in that game. Lee Van admitted he didnt know that shot and planned to talk to Efren after the match to learn it. I have never been able to execute this shot myself as much as a tried.

I like the creativity, but please don't tell people that was a power draw shot when it wasn't. The cue ball clearly didn't draw much at all. If you're going to tell people where to aim, please do it right.

There is a second way to play this shot - roll to the black off the cushion. This way the red will not come away from the black, meaning that the escape is much more difficult, and even if the opponent does make the hit, they will not be able to do anything constructive with the shot.

The first shot did leave a easy shot because it was frozen to the rail it didn't count as a rail and actually left ball in hand. The 3 either needed to hit another rail or cue ball or 8 ball.

Sure...and if you miss, you just left them an easy shot on the 3 ball. Hit thin on the right side of the 8-ball softly and leave the cue ball on the rail and you eliminate the kick shot and don't have to rely on a trick shot that requires very specific conditions.

That shot is harder to do though and if you mess it up potentially leaves black over the pocket and coloured ball set up somewhere

Reading comments - nothing actually has to hit a rail if a ball is pocketed. But if no ball is made at least one ball has to hit a rail. The cue ball CAN COUNT BUT IT CAN BE ANY BALL!!!
