I planted some lettuce a few seasons ago from your seed collection and let them flower and bolt. Now every cool season I get new ones sprouting on their own. I keep the cycle going so I haven’t planted any for a while. It’s the light green leafy variety but I forgot the name already 😅 I had the best salad a few days ago from it that was enough for 7 people.

This is our first year and I’m growing Dwarf Kale and the seedlings are already sprouted. I just thinned them out this morning and I really am looking forward to clipping home grown leaves in the coming months

Glad I watched. I was cutting the whole top of my romaine! Parris romaine are more tender so I’m using your technique! TY❤

My raised bed have no winter fall plantings, the are getting a chance to rest and refresh the soil. It has been a few years.

I live in zone 9 with very hot temps starting May through September. This year I am going to grow 3 new to me lettuce varieties that are supposed to tolerate heat better and be slow to bolt; Merlot, New Red Fire and Silvia Red Romaine. I usually grow Black Seeded Simpson, but I'm getting a little bored with just green lettuce, so I'm going to grow darker reddish colored lettuce. Have you grown the darker varieties I mentioned?

Thank you Kim.
I'm growing your Romaine lettuce. The plant's are growing great.
Unfortunately this morning I noticed 3 small lettuce plant's just up and disappeared. No signs of animal's. Do I need to put an alarm on my grow bag? 😂

Can lettice grow with the temperatures of 0 at night?
Will it grow or it will just sit there?
Can you plant it in a frozen/very cold soil?

I hate that lettuce grows in winter instead of summer. I like my salads in the summer, not winter! Winter I want warm foods!!
