"If I saw a customer or a member of our staff saw a customer deliberately ordering rolls to take them home, I would confront them immediately. I would tell the customer that we do not allow that in the restaurant nor do we want them to do that, due to food safety. However, if they like our rolls so much and are happy to follow our directions moving forward, then we are welcome to box up a reasonable amount of rolls, say, one dozen per person, and they will be fresh and hot out of the oven when we give them to you. Just let your server know to tell us after you receive your check and you are five minutes away from leaving. We will bring them out to you. In addition, you are still welcome to have unlimited rolls with your meal for on premises consumption". He also said he would have wrote up the server for stating they would charge for rolls. That is only for take out and catering. They do not nor are they allowed to charge customers for rolls who are dining in.
