I just want to correct a few things mentioned in this video. The device is not always recording. It is always listening for the Wake Word. Once it hears the Wake Word then it starts recording. Skills are not downloaded, they are only enabled. The device does not have any storage to download apps. Everything is done in the Cloud. Some of the things you did in the app can also be done by voice. Ex. changing the Wake Word. Just simply say Alexa change wake word to [insert Wake Word].

Now, this video was useful, as I was given an Amazon echo dot for my birthday last year 2020, & I am still learning more about this device, however I found having the application for the echo dot on my phone, is easy to integrate as well as navigate with my echo dot, and it has playlists in my history, which I just simply click on my phone 📲 📲 and it plays on my echo dot, without having to use my voice, this is handy especially if one has a sore throat. Next thank you for this video.

This brings up an interesting question...say you have old 1st/2nd gen echo dots...they don't support sidewalk. But if you add a new echo dot before June 8th 2021 it will show up under "account setting" and you can either disable or enable it...but after June 8th if you add a new echo dot you will not be able to opt-out of Sidewalk.
